Twitter has undoubtedly changed the world of communication for the good and, at times, the bad.

And it’s the latter that Arsenal and England midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was forced to confront when the 20-year-old read out ‘mean’ tweets about himself for a feature on BT Sport recently.

Alongside messages about Oxlade-Chamberlain resembling a ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’, his questionable DJ skills and why he shaved his uneven facial hair, Piers Morgan’s tweets seemed to crop up repeatedly.

The TV personality, who is also an avid Arsenal fan, was caught out backtracking on the social network site when he called Oxlade-Chamberlain a ‘wonderful talent’ in February after having taken to Twitter to doubt the player’s abilities in 2011.

Well, we all get things wrong sometimes.
