5. Iker Muniain (Athletic Bilbao)
Muniain played a huge part in Athletic’s 3-2 win against Levante, testing goalkeeper Gustavo Munúa early on before going on to assist Gaizka Toquero’s goal.
4. Roberto Soldado (Valencia)
Soldado scored a brace in Los Che’s 3-0 win at home to Real Sociedad. The three points takes Valencia five points clear of fourth-place Villarreal.
3. Giovani Dos Santos (Racing Santander)
The Tottenham Hotspur loan star twice put Racing ahead against relegation rivals Hércules to give them an all-important 3-2 away win. Racing move up to 12th place while Hércules remain in the drop zone.
2. Adrián López (Deportivo La Coruña)
Adrián López salvaged a point for Deportivo as he scored two goals in their 2-2 draw against Sporting Gijón, with his second strike in particular being fantastic. Unfortunately, Deportivo still find themselves in the drop zone even with the point at El Molinón.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
The Portugal international was in fine form as he smashed in no less than four goals against Sevilla in Real’s 6-2 win in southern Spain. Ronaldo has now gone above Lionel Messi in the race for Pichichi – the league’s top scorer award.
